Pakistan PTV Dramas

Although now many private TV channels have started their broadcasting services in the country and "Pakistan TV Drama" has changed or perhaps developed a lot with time but still people love the old prime time of PTV dramas. PTV(Pakistan Television) was the only TV channel in Pakistan at that time as there were no private channels working then.


As you know Pakistan film industry is really suffering and people usually don't take any interest in films because of their poor quality so in such a situation Pakistani TV Dramas are a great source of entertainment for masses.


As now, other than Pakistan Television(PTV), we have lots of other TV channels working in private sector so people now enjoy variety in dramas of Pakistan. Some private channels are really contributing positively for the progress and popularity of Pakistan TV dramas by their quality productions. Some of these channels include Hum TV, Express Entertainment, GEO TV and a few others.


Although as I said above that some of the private channels are contributing positively for the development of Drama Serials in Pakistan but people still miss those Pakistan Television Dramas that were very close to our culture and life, and were not having as much glamor as we see in TV dramas these days.


Pakistani PTV drama was such popular that people used to close all the markets and shops and rush towards their homes before the starting time to ensure that they didn't miss any scenes. Even these dramas were popular in our neighboring countries like India.


The reason why those old PTV dramas were so popular is quite simple. Dramas at that time use to have natural story lines along with good scripts. Stories were very close to our daily life and culture thus people use to feel themselves as part of the show. Those old PTV drama serials were developed for masses and they used to discuss issues of common public. There was no glamor at all at that time or you can say it was very little.


Today, I have decided to refresh your memories by sharing a block buster PTV drama Serial named "Rahein". I remember I was a young child when this drama was broadcasted for the first time from PTV and since then they repeated it many times but it always looks fresh, new and as entertaining as you found it in its first broadcast. I remember how the characters "Bao Khalid, Najji Sanyari, Kubba Jalaha, Baso Kamyar, Jura Patti(Bhatti) and the negative character of chaudhries" got popularity after just first few episodes. The Drama was the typical Village life story and was truly a block buster at that time. It still have the same entertaining power and I am sure you would definitely love it.
